RWS lays off staff as Covid19 measures

Post by abbby » Thu, 16 Jul 2020 9:11 am

Understand they have about 7,000 staff and about 2,000 could have been retrenched. Even such a big organisation's not spared. This is shocking to know.

It's just the beginning I think. We will seen 100,000's of retrenchments this year and next as the big employers give up (the small ones already have). The only safe job now is in govt or essential business. Recreation is at the bottom of the pile.

You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

Yes, this is the beginning. When the gov supports end this month, the employers will start to retrench.

Coincidentally, this news comes just after the GE, go ponder!

Once Govt subsidies end, you'll start seeing mass retrenchments, the subsidies are only a delay for retrenchments. There's a prediction that next is MBS, which more than 10,000 staff. I mean who can endure minimal business and supporting 10,000 staff.

Also cabin crew. If you aren't flying then there is much point in continuing to pay you.
