You may likely get it. If they asked to add your kids for SC directly, didnt you add them to SC? Why to PR?dan15 wrote: ↑Thu, 14 Jan 2021 2:19 pmHi to all,
Just to share an insight,
-Indian aged 30, (Dialect Gujarati)
-Moved to Singapore in 1994 with family
-Employed in the family business (5.3k/monthly before CPF)
-Was on DP until 2008 (Got PR as a family in 2008)
-Did all my studies in Singapore (highest qualification attained is Diploma from TMC)
-Completed 2 Years of NS (Dec 2012)
-Married with 2 kids (Girl-6/Boy-4)
-Spouse from India
-Currently Spouse on LTVP and Kids on LTVP/Student Pass
-Completed with 7th cycle of reservist on (25/11/2020)
-Applied citizenship (14/10/2019)
-Received an email on the (13/11/2020) from ICA asking me to add my children into my application, (initially did not add them thinking they need to be PR first before they could apply for SC)
-Children PR application was applied on (22/1/2020)
Currently application status on "MYICA" showing as Pending for SC application.
All the information provided is not in chronological order, sorry for that.
But ICA has reached out to you to ask them to add them on to SC application right? Despite that you applied for PR?dan15 wrote: ↑Thu, 14 Jan 2021 3:42 pmThanks for your reply.
I am currently a PR, so I thought why not just apply PR for them first, while I applied for SC, in other words if my SC got approved, I could easily get SC for my kids too, but if my SC got rejected, they still had their PR status.
I did not add them, because I thought they needed to be a PR first before they became citizens.
Good. High chance you will get it.dan15 wrote: ↑Thu, 14 Jan 2021 4:37 pmOh, nono. This are the events as stated below:
-SC Application just for me (14/10/2019)
-PR Application for both my kids (22/1/2020)
-Received email from ICA prompting me to add my kids on my SC application (13/11/2020)
-Added my kids on my SC application (15/11/2020)
So the PR was applied way before I got the email from ICA asking me to add my kids.
there are many cases where husband was a PR and later he sponsored wife + kids and all got PR. So that highest immigration status explanation that you have given is not right. PR Application based on your ethnicity will be 12-20 months. But since you have lived here for long, there is a chance you may get the outcome earlier.dan15 wrote: ↑Thu, 14 Jan 2021 4:48 pmIt was actually rejected once, when I applied for PR for my spouse and kids. What I heard was, either spouse whatever the highest immigration status one has, the other spouse can't be the same, for my case, I am a PR so my spouse cannot be a PR. If I become a citizen, yes sure there are more chances of her PR being approved.
What do you reckon for the waiting period of my SC application?
I feel you should apply PR for your wife also if all of you are going to settle down in SGdan15 wrote: ↑Thu, 14 Jan 2021 5:12 pmIt was previously rejected once, for that same reason I am afraid to apply for her as yet, I was thinking it would be better if I waited until me and my children 's SC application comes out positive.
I really don't know what I should do? You think I should go ahead and apply PR for my wife? Any suggestions?
