Ltvp application during covid

Post by iceblue » Mon, 13 Jul 2020 4:08 am

Hi all,

Just wanna ask if anyone has successfully applied and gotten their ltvp during this period?

My fiance (prc) and I (sc) were planning to rom this Sept and apply Ltvp after that. We have already gotten the LLE in Oct 2019, but we are not sure with the current situation and given that she is from China would the application be affected?

My income level is above average (>6k) and she is currently here on Spass for the past 1 year 3 months.

Please advise

First, you need to get married by Oct 2020 before you apply for LTVP since LLE lasts for a year. You already have the LLE so it's a fairly good chance your LTVP would be approved.

I renewed my spouse's LTVP during circuit breaker and it got approved, as I mentioned in this topic. I saw other people there getting their LTVPs so ICA is still approving them.

Thanks for your reply. Quick follow up question, if my LLE expires on 14th Nov 2020, does that mean I must apply LTVP before 14th Nov for it to be valid or must I get my LTVP APPROVED before 14th Nov 2020?

It means you need to apply before 14th November.
If you still haven't gotten married by 14 November, then you can reply for LLE again, once approved, then get married and apply LTVP.
