MY spouse works in an IS and I've got contacts with others in the business. Firstly it's a crap business model with terrible margins so, no, you won't see fees drop even with reduced enrollments. The best scenario is for schools to have full enrollments but that isn't happening in the 2020/2021 year. Secondly and perversely I expect fees to jump in the 2021/2022 year as there is a real risk of some schools closing down as enrollments drop and that will put pressure on the schools that remain via longer application queues. A few schools here are having trouble getting their new hire teachers for next year in as well.STdownunder wrote: ↑Wed, 08 Jul 2020 10:16 pmIf more and more expats get pay cuts or end up leaving Singapore which in turn means less kids can afford International Schools, shouldn't they lower the fees?
