I think we've relaxed a bit now. As you are aware we had a problem a number of years ago. The way I'm looking at it is as long is it doesn't become a non-stop posting of heaps of articles. We should be okay.

Oh dear. Silly lady but the worst part is the ICA officers accepting the bribe!
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

It will probably be rejected when it comes up for renewal.

Tend to agree. Very silly of the MAlaysian lady as she was a shoo in anyways.

Re: Jail for woman who bribed ICA officer to expedite her PR application
So how did they catch her? If nothing was really done by the ICA lady.
For me reading that article looks like she was even more stupid then just trying to bribe ica officer.
She wanted PR faster as she was pregnant, but from the article it took over a year, which is definitely longer than it takes to deliver a baby from the point you've found out you are pregnant.
The daughter and mother seem like just conned her money but did nothing as she was going to be accepted anyway. She gets upset and report them from cheating her money, but at the same time confesses that she bribed them.

Which would mean not just silly but stupid too. Best send her back to Malaysia, which I'm sure will happen at some point anyway.ProvenPracticalFlexible wrote: ↑Tue, 30 Jun 2020 1:54 pmShe gets upset and report them from cheating her money, but at the same time confesses that she bribed them.

Wouldn’t be surprised if her PR is revoked the moment she’s released from the prison, repatriated and barred from coming in again.
