Didn't you lose your work permit in that Roberton Quay social distancing fiasco or are you still concerned that the SPF will find you? They aren't giving up you know. Not in an election year.tiktok wrote: ↑Sun, 28 Jun 2020 3:08 pmI already played along with the "sorry you're wrong" game. Is it my turn to insult you with some made up facts now?sundaymorningstaple wrote: ↑Sun, 28 Jun 2020 2:34 pmGood luck with that. You've been here what? 8 months give or take and still SAF.

What affects chances of getting PR in Singapore?
Re: What affects chances of getting PR in Singapore?
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

Re: What affects chances of getting PR in Singapore?
No I don't have a work permit, I'm on DP, and have not broken any laws (I hope).
SPF = Singapore Police Force?
SAF = Sexy As F **k?
Seriously, why the personal attacks. The only point I'm making is that it's internationally unacceptable for a first world country to have racial quotas on immigration. The quotes provided by subconwretch align with this. Sure I'd like to hear other opinions, but "sorry you're wrong" doesn't really count.

It may be unacceptable but widely practiced. Try migrating to Japan or Saudi Arabia or China.

Re: What affects chances of getting PR in Singapore?
It is internally points based and the process is not revealed. But these are the factorsabbby wrote: ↑Thu, 25 Jun 2020 3:31 pmThis is one of the most popular topics and questions asked in the forum, so I thought we could consolidate some pointers for those who are seeking PR application and what are the points that are important to ICA.
Some points that could be useful..please add on if you can share.
1. Salary and position in company
2. Number of years working in Singapore
3. If you had studied in Singapore's education system ie: PSLE, O levels, A Levels
4. Any family ties in Singapore? ie: Mother is Singaporean
5. Industry that you work for (my guess is essential service sector probably most needed now, medical, transport, pharmaceutical)
6. Other contributions to the country
1. Race of the Applicant (to manage race ratio)
2. Age of the applicant (Low Or almost no weightage if over 40 under PTS)
3. Ties to Singapore (More points if spouse or parents are Singaporeans)
4. Country of Citizenship - Malaysians (Chinese, Indians or Malay) and Indonesian Chinese are preferred due ease of integration.
5. Length of (Continuos) stay in SG. At least 7 to 10 years in SG If applying under PTS scheme if the applicant is not Malaysian (or Indonesian)
6. Education/Degree (Usually degree where there’s a skill shortage carries more weightage). A Degree from Singapore University carries additional weightage.
7. Minimum Salary (above which it doesn’t matter. some one making 500k SGD or 200K SGD stand a similar chance)
8. Children (young Children who can contribute to SG not just NS but in general)
9. Skill set (usually where there is a shortage and ability to complement and not compete).
10. No previous criminal record (This is a mandatory pre-req)
11. No previous history of tuberculosis or HIV (This is a mandatory pre-req)
I hope this helps.

The rules in those countries are about keeping non-indiginous people out, they are public knowledge too, so not really comparable.
A better example would be the White Australia Policy which ended in the 70s.
