Which countries Ministers do you think handled Covid19 the best?

I think Taiwan and New Zealand did a good job, putting their peoples' health before the economy. =D>

Both good examples. I think Greenland was the first country to declare no cases, but then again it's isolated with a small population. Iceland, I believe, managed things pretty well. Closer to home Vietnam shut it down pretty quickly. Australia too, but there are some pretty inconsistent rules on the ground. Sg started well but forgot about the foreign workers. Has kept the death rate low though. China maybe, but who really knows what to believe or what really goes on.

Vietnam. For sure. Business and people have survived and they are having a mini economic boom now.

NZ will do ok exporting food and products while other countries are locked down but can't open up air travel yet as they are now free and can't risk going backwards.

Taiwan is an nanometer away from going to war so doesn't count.

Fiji ok but can't restart tourism.

Australia has undiscovered hosts popping up.

PNG is actually doing really well. In fact a few emerging countries with low counts may have a black swan inverse event going on.

Depends on the "authority" level of the person-in-charge (aka "Ministers") within said country; Dictatorship v. Democracy and the countries in between.

There is no objective measure, as such, to determine who got it right. It really depends on your moral leaning / persuasion.

We could all ask ourselves what is the most important (or least important) to you?
- deaths from Covid (ok for old to die?)
- non-Covid deaths due to the lock-down (not ok for the young to die?)
- mental health
- human / civil rights
- monetary impact
- social impact
- future losses more important than today losses
- protection of children
- protection of high risk groups
- media / internet; controlled & censured
- etc.

If I am forced to opine, and I say again, that the lock-down in all countries was draconian, unscientific, politically driven, and late. Public now induced into a permanent state of fear.
We got lucky this time (death rate low). God help us next time.

We haven't yet finished "this" time. Second wave (or new rise) coming in the USA. LATAM is a clusterphuck. India is still struggling. No one is flying yet. We are not done with this one at all.
