Hello!
I have been informed by the ICA that my PR application has been finalized and will receive an outcome letter in the coming 1-2 weeks. Any idea what does that mean? Possibility for rejection or acceptance? Very tensed. Thanks!

Thanks for your prompt response. So, it would probably be rejected?

I did not receive about the letter that others got about the delay of processing due to COVID-19.

No one can say whether it is successful or rejected, other than ICA

They informed on email communication. Probably it will be a rejection.

Can you tell me when you apply? how about your basic profile like your nationality, race, salary range etc?
I have applied since Nov 2019 and did not receive any updates

Can you not check the application status on ICA website?
During my time, I saw the result online first then followed by physical letter.

Don't even worry about it until you pass around 14 months. Guy posted a day or two ago, waited 23 months then rejected. It is what it is. Duration of wait is no indication of rejection or approval. It's just "How long is a piece of string"
The only time you will hear anything during the process is IF they ask for additional documents. Even then, that is also no indication of rejection or approval.

Ah okay! On the ICA it still shows pending but on the email, they said that they have finished processing it. I don't know what does that mean. In your case, was it accepted?

But my post is not about waiting time. It is about the significance of an email.

Oh okay, maybe the practice has changed. For PR, it used to show the results - Approved (even it’s AIP) or Rejected. No email, only physical letter. While for citizenship application, the system will show Processing even though AIP has been granted and will only be changed to Approved when the SC Journey programme has been completed.

I reckon SMS was referring to Sam Wong and not you, OP.

Jamie, you and I posted around the same time. You apparently hit the post button before I did. Yes, I was referring to Sam Wong.
