Dear Expat Community
I have a query regarding REP renewal and hope I can get some expert advice from you all.
Me and my family are SPR and will be completing 5 years next year. So next year our REP will be up for renewal. And at that time we all will be overseas.
My company is sending me & my family overseas for deputation however my salary & CPF contribution will be given by company in Singapore.
So would I able able to renew my PR in this case?
Also what kind of questions will are asked during PR renewal process?
I will not have a Singapore permanent address any more as I will move to overseas already.
Are there questions about kids school as they will also not be studying in Singapore anymore.
However we will return after 2-3 years.
Any advise will be highly appreciated.
Thanks

You can still do your rep renewal online, it will take less than 30 mins to complete.
Physical presence in Singapore is not required, since you are contributing CPF,
You will not be facing any issues during REP renewal

Dont assume this.
Since the last 1 year he will be out of SG, it may not be instant approval. It MAY go into manual mode where his employer must provide a letter saying that he is posted overseas temporarily and details about his salary and CPF. Then it may review and consider it to be OK

Will you be paying taxes in SG then? Both your and employer CPF will be paid in Sg?
How about tax overseas for your Singapore Salary?
See my other reply on what you can do.
