Visiting parents or grandparents from 2 June

Post by abbby » Thu, 28 May 2020 2:22 pm

I remembered they stated you can visit grandparents or parents max 2 persons can visit, and you are not allowed to visit your siblings, so if your parents live with your siblings and you go visit, so the siblings have to hide in the toilet or storeroom? Because this part just doesn't feel right, especially if they live under the same roof.

i would guess it's the household, so you can visit anyone who lives there. I think they can come out of the bathroom :)

If I am not mistaken only one parent can go out with the child even if another one lives in the same household so I would be cautious here :) Any volunteers to explain the logic?

There is no logic. This is our problem at the moment. My daughter lives a 7 minute slow walk away from me. She has two young boys (1 & 4 year olds). We are not allowed to go see them as we are grandparents and only one of the parents can bring only 1 child over. Technically, even if both go home, the other parent or child are not allowed to come over on the same day. Nor is the 1st parent and 1st child able to leave and then return later during the same day. Stupidest situation I've ever heard of. And they are thinking of calling an election now? I'm afraid if they do, they are going to see the worst showing the PAP as ever had.

My wife had a theory that this is because Singaporeans often go outside as the whole families, like 3 generations, so one thing this would encourage others to gather, and another, it could be difficult for the safe distance ambassadors/officers to tell if this is legal or not.

To all our Leaders.
I am craving for data. Publish the scientific basis then we can all study and challenge the logic. Otherwise I have to "trust" your opinion. BS.

Why can't we have a press conference with only the scientists presenting / answering questions like they have in Sweden?
