EP renew - IPA Information Incorrect
EP renew - IPA Information Incorrect
My EP renewal has been approved, but in IPA declaration form, I just found that the period of study of my educational details is incorrect. The end date is correct, but the start date is wrong, should be a few months earlier. All other information is correct and accurate though.
Is this a big mistake? Should I ask my employer to correct it and re-apply? Also how long would it usually take? because my current EP will expire in a month, so also a little worried if there is enough time left.
Any suggestions/advice? Thanks!

If it has been approved, let it go if you are just renewing it. It's not a new application, correct?

Correct, it is not a new application, it is a renewal.sundaymorningstaple wrote: ↑Thu, 28 May 2020 1:40 pmIf it has been approved, let it go if you are just renewing it. It's not a new application, correct?
My current EP was approved in 2018. Now it is being renewed this time. The renewal has been already approved, and now I need to sign the declaration form of IPA, but just realized that the start date of the period of study of my degree is not accurate, the actual start date is a few months earlier than what is put in the IPA
Should I just let it go, or ask my employer to amend it?
Re: EP renew - IPA Information Incorrect
If I ask my employer to amend the start date of the period of study in the IPA, normally how long would it take the MOM to re-access it? My concern is that my current EP will expire in a month. I guess it should be relatively quick, as it is just a minor amendment. Also, will there be any risk of doing so?
I think it is better to keep all the information accurate and consistent, even small things, but not sure would there be any risk or delay to amend it, especially in the current Covid-19 period.
Any additional suggestions/advice will be highly appreciated, Thanks!!

You can ask your employer to update MOM. Unlikely it will affect the application outcome in THIS case.MySE123 wrote: ↑Fri, 29 May 2020 10:52 amIf I ask my employer to amend the start date of the period of study in the IPA, normally how long would it take the MOM to re-access it? Also, if your education date was shorter and actually a few more months it would be Ok for MOM to review and approve it.

Re: EP renew - IPA Information Incorrect
Yeah, definitely not recommending that as a normal practice. If the Date was different by a substantial amount in the OTHER direction then I would have recommended it. But as they renewed it with the data as given, you don't want to upset the applecart by trying to correct something that will not likely affect the outcome of the renewal. However, if you amend it, it could take a while just like everything else at MOM and ICA is doing and you might find yourself out of work while it is still pending. Not Good.

I see. I really appreciate your detailed explanation. I think it makes very good sense.
