Appealing EP application

I am sorry if this has been asked before. I posted earlier in the subforum which turns out to be incorrect. I am currently on student pass here. Supposedly in June, I will be working and have my EP by then. The company applied for my EP in late April and my application was rejected because I wasnt able to obtain the graduation letter. Only earlier this week I received the letter and my company proceeded to appeal the decision.

How long does it usually take in this case? (Considering the covid19 situation as well)

I recently filed a police report against someone else. Does it negatively affect my application?

I don't know about the police report, but somebody I know recently had to appeal their EP application this month and they got a response in a bit over a week (I think seven working days to be exact)
