Is this article for real? https://www.99.co/blog/singapore/expats ... s-popular/ (I've been living in Newton for 2 years, didn't know Robertson Quay condos were that big a deal and that cheap!)

Robertson Quay, a hip and trendy place to be in, expats will love it due to the close proximity of restaurants, bars and pubs.

Definitely more exciting than in Newton.

Matter of opinion and interests. If RQ is your idea of daily eating out and drinks (when it opens up someday) by all means. Not my preferred hood, but I'd chose east coast siglap or katong over RQ anyday, but it is probably personal preferences I guess.

For a relatively central location the public transport is quite crap though, no real close by MRT station. Assuming you are referring to those condos on Martin road corner.
