Reliable SUV

Can any car experts recommend a reliable and low maintenance/low cost maintenance SUV?

Avoid continental brands as maintenance costs are BS. I would probably consider a Korean brand these days over a Jap brand (Kia or Hyundai). Also don't buy a car made in Thailand or Malaysia (some Honda/Toyota are made there and of course so is Proton).

Yeah, I do agree continental cars are a pain the butt to maintain..and expensive to maintain as well, somewhat not as durable as Japanese cars. I heard Korean cars are expensive to maintain as well?

No Kia/Hyundai are cheap like Japanese because they don't require the service centre to authentic parts via a telemetry hookup back to the factory. That's what is driving up Continental car prices. Obviously don't buy an American car either.
