Talk about irresponsible. Now all us expats are going to be tarred with the same brush for a bunch of twats standing around drinking at TAPS on the CB posting on IG and TickTock saying "how cool are we"? You realise that when you get busted we all end up wearing the pain of an extended lockdown or even worse tightended restrictions on foreigners?

I saw that post on the Straits Times page last night and my jaw just dropped. I'm wondering if they are residents (work pass or LTVP/DP) or tourists stuck here due to travel restrictions. Are tourists that are stuck here allowed to go out, e.g., not on SHN but on CB? I don't really know.

Additional info on the 'tard apparently has it that a month ago went to a local barbershop who refused to serve him as he only returned from overseas 11 days previously, which means he should have been on SHN. Apparently the guy is Swiss with a US green card and was last living in HK before coming to Singapore.

I am not sure the screen cap is fair, however, as it appears that the guy is calling the taker of the photo "snitches". So it is unknown if he was there OR if he was in one of the pictures. However, he is the same guy who apparently visited a barbershop and refused service because he should have been on SHN. Sadly, the screen cap implicates him as being a member of Singapore Expats (or at least the Singapore Expats Facebook page.) And with the local cluelessness it will be throwing dirt on us here as well. Fortunately, the post has been removed but as we all know, once out there it remains out there forever. Whoever it is may have opened a can of worms as well for themselves as in the link comments below somebody took the comment from Google Maps and has sent it to the authorities regarding the breaking of SHN. It would be interesting to know it the guy deleted the "snitches" post or the Admin of the SE FB page deleted it.

Well to be fair I didn't imagine it was you but could quite well imagine it was @TickTock. Anyways the SPF are throwing all their resources at tracking down the foreign talent caught in pictures drinking so I expect a wave of "I've been arrested what do I do now" posts.... (if not here then on a FB SgExpat page).

Expect to see more of this as this lock down extends. I'm already seeing more locals pushing the rules and getting more vocal on how this whole thing has been handled. East Coast Park is busier now than before lock down and tempers fray with the crowds. F&B are doing what they can but another month or so will kill so many businesses.

Agreed. It's not a "smart" lockdown. Just another heavy handed over-reaction that is killing business.

(A smart lockdown would target critical groups and provide support for them to be stay in isolation while the rest of the low risk folk get back to work).

Saying that... as an expat (or motorbike rider or sports car driver in groups) you're a high profile target... so don't be a target).

I think there is some undisclosed "line in the sand" that ICA has around this. Probably an over complex algorithm that uses time sentenced, time served, if violence was involved, if it was a sex assault or involved corruption etc. I've known a few PRs who have done time (Mark Roller for one) and not lost their PR. Also anyone can lose the PR by order of the PM as LKY showed in the SIA pilot's strike.
