Topic: Excess Mortality

In the UK, since the lock-down, many more people dying due to Covid-19.
(based on average weekly / monthly for past 5 years).

It is disturbing that many more people are dying NOT due to Covid-19. So is the lock-down really saving many lives?

Source below; I trust.

Related, the modelling projection of 500,00 deaths (if no lock-down) is widely accepted now as a gross overestimate. The UK govt.'s assertion that their interventions have saved a substantial number of lives is thus highly questionable.

There are many causes of death which are related to COVID19, the elderly are especially more vulnerable if infected with COVID19 which will cause other complications.

So better be safe than sorry cos by not locking down or trying to form a herd immunity will be very very costly and definitely result in more deaths.

For the COVID19 survivors, how long will the immunity be? Still a question mark!

It's a shame that no one can actually prove how many people would have died with/without a lockdown. Sweden should be an interesting case to watch.

I think Sweden now has the highest death rate per capita in continental Europe. Saying that I am sick of the this lockdown BS.

if you compare Sweden to the other similar Nordic countries Norway and Finland the death rate is almost ten times higher.

Comparing to France or Italy is not the same, more different variables.
