2 scenarios
1. friend is overseas "I think I left my lights on, can you check for me"
2. friend is at work (not at home), in Singapore; "can you check, I left the thermostat on".

IMO yes but it's a grey area and the condo security may not let you in or worse call the cops. As I understand it only the registered occupants of a home/apartment are meant to be in it during the CB. Saying that I am holding a friends keys for him - the idea being if that he cannot get back I will let in Movers (which is legal) to pack his stuff.
I think what you're trying to do is to bed down in someone's unoccupied place - you need to have your name listed as an occupier on the lease and change your IC to suit.

You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

absolutely not correct PNGMK.

I enjoy posting legal & contractual oddities (grey areas) that provide interesting topical debate.

Cool. It's an interesting conundrum but the case where the friend visited his friend's condo for a few days and then was found to be positive (and caused the condo residents a LOT of grief) is probably the answer.
