Compassion. It's a very difficult situation and some of the stuff ups are because of Gahmen mismanagement. It's not a good idea to get the general pop'n off side when actually they have done well but not the MOM etc managing the foreign worker issue.

Fines maybe?

A woman was arrested yesterday for not wearing a mask, although 2nd offense and she may have assaulted someone in the process. She was also claiming "sovereign rights" so probably more to the story.

See 'Sovereign Citizen' in Wiki.

With regard to the 40 year old Singaporean woman arrested Shunfu Market, I reckon she'll be the first as she has a number of other charges against her, as well as her 2nd offence of not wearing a mask, so they will make an example out of her for sure. The FBI has labeled a number of these people as Domestic Terrorists. The largest body of them is in the US where it apparently originated, but they are now also found in a number of Commonwealth Countries like Canada, Aus, NZ and the UK.

she can be a sovcit but should not access any state supported benefits including the road she walks on or the safety she takes for granted.

Somebody mentioned she has temporary residence at IMH after today's court hearing. I've asked for a link but haven't received one yet. I'm betting that she will get that and then a vacation courtesy of the Singapore prison system. I'm waiting to find out if she is a 2nd or 3rd Gen Singaporean or longer or a new citizen.

Thanks Mike, I actually found the CNA link via a FB group about the same time as you posted here last night. Just now getting around to checking & housekeeping here as I got side-tracked this morning.

I think it’s very difficult for the situation to escalate to a point where jail time needs to be given. If I’m not wrong, the government usually limits themselves to giving stern warnings or a fine at most.

The times where I’ve read of someone being arrested it’s usually for what they did when they were asked to put it on. I don’t even know anyone who’s been fined unless they acted out when asked to put it on.

I've been really thinking about writing a few essays about wearing masks and how it impacts my personality. Wonder where I could get help to find the inner-writer in me.

I'm just too bored, even replied to this. Mask I don't mind, but lack of travelling is getting in my head.

What about that sovereign lady? Did she get jailed? Didn't hear any outcome about her case...

You have written exactly the same thing in another thread - guess it’s relevant as both threads were about masks
