Hi, I can't seem to find any information if im required to be a member of OWWA/POEA. I am a Filipina, LTVP holder with a pre-approved LOC and just secured a shortterm contract job. Im planning to go home (PH) when travel is already allowed but im worried i might have issues returning to my spouse since i dont have OWWA membership. Would appreciate any advice/insight regarding this matter. Thank you!

As a LTVP holder, you do not need to be a member of OWWA and you do not need an OEC when returning to Singapore.

Thank you so much for clearing that up! Can i freely share that i am working in SG when asked at immigration? Do i fall under ofw status and need to register under POEA as well?

An an LTVP holder, you are not required to register to POEA. The LTVP is not a working visa but does allow you to work subject to a LOC. Do not volunteer information unless specifically asked. You are not considered an ofw since you do not have a work pass/work visa. The LTVP holder is in the same category at Philippine airports as a PRs and student pass holders. We do not have to pay the full travel tax but need to pay a Php 200 fee depending on our last departure date from the Philippines. Unlike OFWs, we need to pay for airport terminal fee (included in the ticket). If you want to be sure, call our embassy to inquire.
