Moving to Singapore from USA

Post by denly90 » Sat, 25 Apr 2020 2:19 am

Hello,

I am moving to Singapore from the USA with my Singaporean wife. I had a couple questions for the forum:

1. I know the economy isn't doing great but what is the best way for me to find a job? I have 6 years of experience in investment banking and private equity

2. What are some things that are worth bringing over from the USA? Things that you cant find in Singapore or are really expensive

3. In terms of banking, is there a USA bank I can use both in the USA and in Singapore? What the best way for me to move cash to Singapore?

1. Networking or an internal transfer.
2. There are things that you will miss but without knowing the specifics of your needs who knows. OTC medications such as Nyquil and Pepto and Alleve are things my Yankee wife misses.
3. Citibank / Transferwise or similar fintechs are the cheapest way now to xfer money.
