Hello fine forum people! My partner and I moved to Singapore from the UK last year. Both of us have our own EPs. Unfortunately due to the current conditions created by the the COVID-19 virus, my employment will be terminated and EP cancelled by May 6th.
My partner and I are not married, but have lived together for 2.5 years (including 6 months in Singapore). We require an affidavit of cohabitation as a common-law certificate for the LTVP process, however this must be notarised in the UK. And we can't get to the UK right now.
Will the MoM accept a local notarised affidavit, given that we live here together and cannot travel back to the UK? Has anyone heard about extenuating circumstances surrounding COVID and applying for an LTVP? Or are there situations where LTVPs have been issued to people living together and can clearly demonstrate they have lived together before moving to Singapore?
Thank you for any and all help!
Tom
