did you hear back from MOM yet? I believe you can apply for the extension 7 business before the visa expires. My STVP expires on the 9th of May as well, HR applied for the extension on Tuesday last week. Still haven' heard back though, today is the 5th business day and it should take 3-5 days. So stressful...sg_xpt wrote: ↑Sat, 02 May 2020 2:38 pmI see. Thanks for the information!
My HR has just submitted the application today. Hopefully it is approved soon as it will be difficult to get plane tickets nearer to the deadline.

I think I notice a pattern here.siopau wrote: ↑Thu, 30 Apr 2020 6:52 pmHi!
The first time my HR applied last month took quite long like 5-6days but this time around it only took 4 working days. I think shouldn’t be an issue ‘cause they are the ones who said to apply 7 days before the STVP expires. Good luck!
Better not to analyse and interpret them as patterns.sg_xpt wrote: ↑Thu, 07 May 2020 5:49 pmI think I notice a pattern here.
Looks like @siopau's pass got approved on the last business day prior to the expiry.
You mentioned the first time took 5-6 days and the second one took 4 days, and the last business day before 4 May was 30 April, the same day you posted the approval message. I cannot confirm this, but it seems that it might be true. Perhaps @siopau can confirm that both of the request got approved on the last business day before the expiry?
If this is correct, @sg_jo and my extension request should be approved (or denied) tomorrow (8 May), the last business day before 9 May.
Do you have any advise on what to do if MOM do not reply before the expiry of the pass? There seems to be nothing else that can be done.singaporeflyer wrote: ↑Thu, 07 May 2020 6:01 pmBetter not to analyse and interpret them as patterns.sg_xpt wrote: ↑Thu, 07 May 2020 5:49 pmI think I notice a pattern here.

Mostly, they wont force you. They are pretty reasonable and considerate with the current situation.martincymru wrote: ↑Mon, 11 May 2020 10:19 amslightly off topic.
Today, 11 May.
Would ICA extend, 20 days, if you live ("home") in Chennai but only flight "home" is now to Delhi? (Airline have re-scheduled you to a later date (31 May) to Chennai).
Or would ICA "force" you to take the Delhi flight?
note: assume there are domestic flights available in India.
Just an update on my situation.tigerlilysg wrote: ↑Tue, 19 May 2020 10:34 am@sg_jo, is it possible to update the outcomes of your STVP extension? I am in the same position, with my STVP expiring 20 May. HR has applied for the extension on 10 May, but still no outcome as of yet. I tried calling ICA too like @sg_xpt did, but they are telling me to wait for MOM's approval.
I'll update too once I get a response (hopefully approved). I know so many in the same position and I guess it might help someone out there.
Why not your EX company call MOM and ask?MYinSG wrote: ↑Wed, 24 Jun 2020 9:37 amHey guys.. am on the same situation now. STVP expires on 3rd July. Ex company has tried extending it on last Monday and Tuesday, but theres a notification pop up mentioning Extension is not allowed. Unsure if its because its not 7 days before expiry or what. Has anyone experienced the same?
I have also been offered a job, and really need to put myself here in Singapore to not complicate the EP process.
Any advice appreciated. Thanks!
