COVID19 deaths reaching 50,000 soon ...
This is astonishing...with developed countries having the most deaths.

Could China downplayed its death tolls too? There were a lot of suspicions from their people that the numbers were very under declared. From the number of urns that were sent to each funeral home.

Perhaps controversially I say don't worry so much about masks, don't wear, since they provide only minimal protection. Just stay away from people.
You should focus on being in the best location geographically when you get the virus. Conversely attempt escape if the location worsens. It is all about modelling (trends). Keep your bags packed ready.
Sweden takes the view that let it burn, trying to stop crashes your economy & non Covid patients go to the back of the queue (= more deaths indirectly); "herd community" strategy.
Let's have a gathering to debate.............masks...... anywhere in Sg that we can question policy etc.?

I think masks work but only if most of the people around you also use them.
That is why you see the government giving the cloth masks for free to every resident with the expectation that most will use them while outside.
The best is still to avoid crowds.

I'm honestly more worried now about the collateral damage to the economies of Indonesia, the PI and India/Bangla/Paki areas. There will be a lot of deaths there due to loss of income. I feel the shutdowns could have (in retrospect) been a bit more intelligent. For example ban all oldies from going out and immediately move to a food/essentials delivery service and accept some younger ones are going to get sick and die.
