Use social visit pass or ltvp for jobs?

Post by hellofriday » Thu, 12 Mar 2020 10:48 pm

Evening everyone,

I will be graduating from uni soon and planning to work full time perm in SG. Previously i did my diploma in SG so i was under tuition grant (deferred). I remember MOE told me i can apply for 1year ltvp to look for jobs if i want. But its a 1 time use.

From what i know, if i get LTVP, I will need to apply for LOC from MOM ? And iirc, the LOC stops being valid once LTVP expires. So im actually worry about that as LTVP is valid for only one year and I'm planning to work longer than that.

1) should i just use social visit pass to apply for jobs?? But must find a job in 60days else gotta leave sg 90 days.

2) if i get the LTVP to look for jobs and say if the company accepted me, can they still apply SPASS for me without needing the LOC ??

The pass i will be getting is spass.

Sorry im abit confuse about this lol.

Thanks

EDIT : nvm found my ans from tuition grant faq. Can use ltvp to apply/find jobs and once company accepted me, they will apply work pass and ltvp will be cancelled.
