My 2nd PR application was rejected this week after 6 months pending.
Main applicant:
I'm Vietnamese male, in my early 30s, holding EP working as a software engineer, base salary of 9k SGD. Been here since 2013.
Spouse and kid:
Wife is working for 2 years now
Kid is attending to local school
I don't feel like I will apply again. I might just stay with my EP as long as it's still valid.
PS: I don't study here, I got my degree in VN.

May be because of the quota that is available. You may have been classified under the other's quota.

Positives:
- Have a family
Negatives:
- Period of stay not long enough.
- Not from a public university in Singapore
- "Other race" category.
- Salary at the lower end.

There are many locals who are engineers, so at this point, the job position is not unique or considered essential.

i see. now i dont have yet plans to apply again. hahaha the marriage thing my bf is offering me since he was a local he told me sure one can get pr if i marry him. i told him no, i dont want to get married for the sake of becoming a pr, i will only get married because i love him.
during these trying times having a work is already a blessing from God.
maybe after covid i will try migrating in australia or canada, if God will favor me.
stay safe everyone!

Is your child a male? Did you include them in your PR application form?
