How do you plan on staying for 6 months? If you are from a western country with the visa waiver agreement you will only be allowed to stay for 90 days. You might get a 30 day extension but after that, doubtful, and will all probablility be required to take a several weeks to several months holiday elsewhere. The only way around that is to have residency of some sort, be it a work pass or L.T.V.P. but for the long term visit pass you would need a sponsor, e.g., a Singaprorean or PR spouse.
