Upgrade to PEP

Post by SGWorkaholic » Mon, 17 Feb 2020 6:58 am

I’m now working in SG on an EP since 2018, which is due in September 2020. Thinking about upgrading to a PEP. Would like to check how I could get it. When should I commence the process? Thank you.

Why?
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

Look - I know a few people who got a PEP. It didn't make a rat's ass of difference to the viability of their stay in Singapore because:

1. No one can afford to stay here without a job and look for one for more than a few months
2. PEP times out after what 5 years so it's pointless

Better to focus on your employability and viability in the work place via networking, ass kissing and upskilling.

PNGMK, that's the old time frame. I't been 3 years for a couple of years now but like the original, it is still non-renewable and only for one time use.
