Pay for LTVP lesser than expat or SC ?

Post by bth986 » Mon, 10 Feb 2020 10:50 pm

Hi All,

I am a SC and my Indian spouse is a software professional. Spouse is planning to be here on a LTVP and later apply PR. Is the salary very less for a LTVP holder when compared to a SC or Expat with the same skillset and same years of experience.

Regards, BTH !

Actually depends on his software skills and experience. If he can demonstrate that he can compete with expats or SC, he can demand a salary in similar to them.

You cant just compare with expats or that of SC, without taking into account his technical software skills.

Often it is as there is no salary 'floor' set as is required for an EP approval and obviously he is a trailing spouse so doesn't need to be provided expat privileges such as housing.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!
