Job/Visa options for my partner

Hi,

I am moving to Singapore with my company and my partner is coming with me. He does not have a job secured yet and is struggling to do it from the UK right now. Depending on visa times we should be ready to move in the next few months and he is anxious to go without a job himself. He works in IT and there seems to be jobs but he is not seeing any traction with the jobs he applies to. Any advice on what his options are coming over with me? does he also need to secure a job with a visa to stay? is it any easier once he is out there?

What is his occupation? There's a problem if he's competing for locals or cheap hire labour.

1. He needs a job to secure a visa in order to stay. The alternative: You get married and bring him in on a DP.
