I’ve submitted my application on Nov 2019 under PTS scheme. This is my 5th submission, the previous 4 submission was under PTS but not married.

Age: 35
Gender: Female
Martial Status: Married to Chinese SC in 2018
Kids: none
Education: Bachelors - Marketing
Salary: ~50k
Nature of Industry: business intelligence
Role: customer service
Tax file: 7-8 times (cannot remember the exact no of yrs)
Length of stay in SG: came since 2010, around 2013 I went back to Hong Kong for 6months

Thanks in advance!!
Yours is a tough one to call. Being ethically Chinese, female and have been applying before you were 30. It could be due to the relatively low salary and maybe being a naturalised Canadian you’re perceived as not SC material as you’re unlikely to give up your Canadian passport.

Now that you’re married to a local Chinese and would have been at least 2 years of marriage by end of this year, i.e. one year from date of application, your PTS case maybe treated as spouse-sponsored case. That would depend on your husband income level as well.

Maybe a 50% chance. Let’s see what other regulars think.
Hi Sorry, re-quoting my last post and abit off topic
I’d like to ask if I’m pregnant, should I inform ICA with the prove of pregnancy or I should wait till I give birth...subject to my application is still in processing.

Thanks in advance!
No need to update ICA about pregnancy. Wait till you give birth then update ICA. Your child will be a Singapore Citizen at birth anyway.

Hello! I would like to know my chances of applying for PR. Thank you!

My profile:
Gender : Male
Age : 22
Marital Status: Single
Ethnicity: Myanmar
Country of Origin: Myanmar
Length of Stay: 2008 - Present (2020)
Education: Primary 4 to Local University. Did PSLE, O Level, Diploma
Latest Education: Currently studying Bachelor of Civil Engineering in NTU. Expected to graduate in 2022.

I applied for PR in 2018 when the student scheme came out but got rejected after 6 months, during then I have yet to finish my diploma.

After I finished my diploma, I worked for a engineering consultancy company for 8 months under S Pass before switching back to student pass when my university started.

Please advice on when I should apply for PR and more importantly, what are my chances of getting a PR. Thank you!

Came to Singapore since P4. With family or on your own? If with family, what is their residence status, especially that of your parents?

Since it seems that there are a lot of good opinions here and expertise, I would like an opinion on my situation and chances;

Nationality: Egyptian
Race: was never able to answer but I normally just add Caucasian
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Martial Status: was married in Singapore for 4 years (foreigner) and recently separated
Kids: none
Education: Bachelors - Marketing & International Business
Salary: 78K (+Bonus)
Nature of Industry: Consumer goods distribution and trading (Import & Export)
Role: Business Development Manager
Length of stay in SG: Well, a bit of a long story.but;
Lived from 2013 to 2015 - filled taxes (3 times, 2 of them not full years) - moved away for work reasons
came back in 2016 and been here ever since (filed taxes 3 times)

I want to apply for PR and eventually apply for Citizenship
what do you think are the chances, hopefully not bad
thanks in Advance

I would say low chance.
Either Caucasian or Middle Eastern are low quota groups. Your salary is relatively low to these groups.

There's nothing to stop you applying though, but don't be surprised if you are rejected

Thanks for the opinion, yeah I will probably give it a go, just to avoid a "what if" scenario
thanks though

Hi All,

I applied for PR since July 2019, but still pending. I have received a letter from ICA on May 2020 informed me due to Covid19 the average processing time for each PR application will be longer. I would like to find out any chance of approval, based on your past experience.

Age : 32
Race : Chinese
Nationality: Malaysian
Gender : Female
Marital Status : Married (My husband is PR)
Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel & Tourism Management (Malaysia)
Job : Admin Executive in Hotel & Tourism Industry
Working Experience in Singapore : 10 years
Salary : 37K+ P/A
Pass: Employment Pass

And my Employment Pass is expiring on next year March. Due to the tightening of the work pass requirements, my HR was strongly encourage me to apply for LTVP since my husband is PR. Should I proceed to renew my Employment Pass while I’m waiting for my PR approval or apply for LTVP?

All advise are welcome and appreciated very much

How long are you married? Is this PR application sponsored by your husband? For March, there is lot of time left. I feel you may have the outcome before that. if not apply for LTVP around Feb?

Hi Singapore Flyer,

Thanks for your prompt reply. Married for 4 years. The application was not sponsored by my husband. Is it a issue?
My hr was intend to help me renew my employment pass now and found out that my husband is PR in my renewal form. That’s the reason my hr was asking me to apply for LTVP instead.

Do the LTVP may be in Jan/Feb if you don't get any update from ICA on the PR application. If in case it is rejected, next time apply under your husband sponsorship. It is more easier to get it approved via the sponsorship route.

How long is he a PR and does he earn more than you? his occupation?
