Chance may be less but you may try as you are on PEP. Also the letters MAY not help as ICA will stick to the normal criteria to assess your application.donbesada83 wrote: ↑Mon, 27 Jul 2020 10:49 amHi everyone, any chance higher than low based on below :
- 35y old European
- Software Dev engineer
- Basic salary 16k / month
- Singapore EP / PEP for 8 years (7 years of NOA )
- Married (wife from SE Asia), two children (two boys) -> Not included in application, plan to bring them once Covid travel restrictions are relaxed.
Would also two recommendation letters from Singaporean citizens help in any form ?
Cheers
You will have a chance. The only negative might be that salary is on the lower side.andrew.lim wrote: ↑Mon, 27 Jul 2020 11:52 amHi All,
i applied for PR on April 2019, i want to ask my chances of approval, if you guys don't mind, based on your experience in this forum.
Age : 35

Gender : Male
Marital Status : Single

Job : Administrative Cum Account Executive
Length of stay : 6 years

Not including wife and 2 BOYS in the application makes the chances even lower.singaporeflyer wrote:Chance may be less but you may try as you are on PEP. Congrats! Another one who got approved within 6 months recently.ck0110 wrote:I am pleased to share that my PR application has been approved, in the midst of COVID. I have monitored this forum for some time and I would like to thank the advice given by fellow members esp by SMS, SF, PNGMK and many others in the thread.
My profile: Hong Kong Chinese, age: late 30s, single, paid SG tax 3 times, profession: not finance, not a growing industry in SG, applied before COVID and approved during COVID (exactly 6 months after submission). Applied online and no agent used.
Contrary to some other posters, I did not receive an ICA letter with regards to the delay in processing PR application due to COVID.
I hope the above is useful - best of luck to fellow members.

They look at continuous work/stay in Singapore. If there is a gap, it is like starting from ZERO again.Japoronga wrote: ↑Tue, 28 Jul 2020 3:17 pmI have previously worked from 2008 to 2010, more then 2 years last time. Does it help? Thank you jamie9vardy and singaporeflyer for your kind support in helping to advice on the chances for PR approval.jamie9vardy wrote: ↑Sat, 06 Jun 2020 9:21 pmIf your current application is rejected and wish to have your spouse-to-be sponsoring you for PR after marriage then the general advice is wait for at least 2 years after marriage, as anything before that may be perceived as marriage of convenience to gain residency status.gpk1122 wrote:Thank you for the your patience and the reply.
Yes, I’ve applied for PR in Dec ‘19 and still pending.
Just an additional question as in case I’ve got my PR application rejected, and I got married to my current partner who is a SC.
Then just see if I can get my spouse (if married) to sponsor me for the PR application.
Better option is for you to re-apply on your own merits if there are significant improvements to your profile, such as career progression, pay rise, education, certification, etc. before the said 2 years.
But as what SF said, you stand a good chance, just need to be patient.

Good news as I already got my PR approved few days back, and now waiting for appt for the PR formalities.
Really appreciated both of you effort in this forum for advising people on how to increase their chances by evaluating their profile.
