We've seen several cases here of application hitting 23 months. Some had approvals, some had rejections. Length of time is immaterial for the success/failure of an application. All you can do it buy your ticket and pray. As long as you are showing up a pending, it's not over yet.seinfield852 wrote: ↑Sun, 07 Mar 2021 3:02 pmHi all,
I applied in Aug 2019 and subsequently updated ICA when I received increments (once) and moved houses (twice). I am yet to hear back. Anyone else been waiting 18+ months?
Thank you.

Re: PR approval chance in 2020
Hello all, wanted to update that I got the IPA today (approval date 18 May 2021).singaporeflyer wrote: ↑Sat, 06 Feb 2021 3:44 pmcurrent chance very low.manchous wrote: ↑Sat, 06 Feb 2021 3:42 pmHello all, good day to you!
Would appreciate if someone could evaluate my chance of PR application.
I applied in January 2020 (my first application) and did not receive any news from ICA until December 2020 which requested me to provide additional documents to prove that I am of Chinese descent. And there was no news since then.
I have a SC girlfriend and we plan to get married in Singapore next year. I plan to settle down in Singapore with her.
My profile below:
Age: 28
Gender: Male
Race: Myanmar Chinese
Nationality: Myanmar
Education: Bachelor degree from UK university, currently pursuing Masters in Computer Science from a top US university and would graduate next year 2022
Job: Working in one of the biggest Fin Tech companies with technical role
Length of stay in Singapore: About 4 years (almost 2 years with current company)
Salary: 70K, 80+K with bonus
Pass: EP
Languages: English, Myanmar, Chinese
I also would like to ask, if my application is rejected, would next year after I have graduated and married would be a good time to apply again?
Thank you so much!
But if you had given them the documents to show that you were of chinese origin then your chance will improve.
Summary of my application:
Submitted application in Jan 2020.
Requested prove of Chinese ancestry in December 2020, submitted documents.
Updated ICA on salary increment first week May 2021 via email.
Received acknowledgement on email a week later.
Submit document button disappeared on 15 May 2021.
Thanks singaporeflyer for your reply to me earlier and wishing everyone the best of luck!

Apply after 5 years of stay for the main applicant in SG. You may be OK i feel.
I am thinking to apply later this year once the political situation stabilizes. Appreciate any valuable input from your side.

Hello all, like to get your thoughts on my approval chances:
Age: 40, Indian
Family: married with one kid 9yrs old
Been in Singapore for 8 years. Working in large MNC as chief data scientist. PhD degree. Base salary: 230k. With bonus 300k+. Have been with same company for 14 years. Wife currently not working. But had worked in SG for 5 years in banking (software).
Applied for PR 6 years ago and got rejected. Thinking of applying again. What are my chances for approval? Any advice for application? Thank you!

Re: PR approval chance in 2020
Regardless of your chances, since you are 40, it's almost your last chance to try so all you have to lose is the application cost which is pocket change for you.ap_sg wrote: ↑Thu, 27 May 2021 2:41 pmHello all, like to get your thoughts on my approval chances:

Re: PR approval chance in 2020
and here I am, awaiting the PR application results after rejecting 2 offers for moving to US.
I think that the idea of getting Singaporean passport for US jobs is no more something Indians run for. (just an opinion)

Re: PR approval chance in 2020
Hard to say what the trend is and if what you say is true, then is it because the Singapore government has weeded out the people who want to use the Singapore passport to get to the US or some other reason which I can't think of.anujhbaggha wrote: ↑Fri, 28 May 2021 3:17 pmand here I am, awaiting the PR application results after rejecting 2 offers for moving to US.

Out of curiosity, why did you reject the 2 US offers?
