PR approval chance in 2020

Hi All,

Im Jana from Sri Lanka. Since 2015 im working in Singapore and currently, I'm in S Pass. Recently(6 months) married to Singapore Citizen (born in Singapore) and we purchased a Flat (HDB) as well. My wife applied for My PR (Spouse sponsor) and I would like to know will there be changes to get approval.

My details
Age 32
Occupation: Quantity Surveyor (Construction Sector)
Salary: 48000 per annum

Wife Details
Age 30
Occupation; Occupational therapist (health care sector)
Salary; 80000 per annum

Chances are low till you complete atleast 2 years of marriage or till you have a kid.

My wife is now pregnant and expected to deliver our to-be SC child Q3 this year.

The application for PR is still pending (almost 6 months), and I do not see an option for me to update ICA that my wife is now pregnant. Would ideally hope that the PR application is approved before my child is born.

Current pass: EP (independent of me)
Time working in Singapore: 3+ years (although there was an interruption in between when we both went to the UK for a year)

Grateful for any comments or thoughts on how to expedite the PR application or increase chances now.

We were living together in China then due to Covid-19, decided to settle and live in Singapore for the long-term. We are in SG since Jan 2020.

Applied PR in Dec 2020 (I know we are 3+ months in)

Hope to get PR sooner, as an SG-PR family nucleus would help us seek our own apartment accommodation, then various medical benefits and move on with baby plans. It's a trying period to adjust to the pandemic, so definitely seeking to find as much assistance as possible.

Is there anything I can add to improve our chances and expedite the process (MP letter, sponsor change of job with higher pay, or just be patient)? Currently, we are kind of waiting for an apartment (rented, resale, BTO), before we have a baby.

Renting a whole apartment should cost over $2k/mth from the open market, a bit too high for us. Renting a room only is not so favourable for a baby-environment. It is holding our subsequent plans and I am getting older ... = /

Length of stay in SG: 4.5 years
Pass type: EP
Occupation: Business Analyst
Salary: S$83k + equity
Work experience: 11 years
SG Tax Assesment: 4 years including this year.

I applied for PR on early Feb this year.
While waiting for the result, my company just reached out to me and say they could not renew my EP which is expiring on May, as it is rejected by MOM. So they will need to offer me a WP as they no longer have quota for SP.
Just checking if the downgrade will impact my PR approval as I know WP is not eligible for PR application.
If my PR wasn't approved before my EP is expired, is it a 100% rejection? or even if it is approved, I will not be able to do the formalities as my qualification had changed?
