Re: PR approval chance in 2020
hi! can anyone help me to evaluate my chances of getting PR. It will be my first time to apply.
Age:27 (next month)
Race: Filipino
Gender: Female
Education: Degree
Marital status: Single
Job: Early Childhood Educator
Length of stay in SG: 4.7 years (5th year in June 2021)
Job experience: 7 years
Salary: 45k annual with bonus
Also, I changed company 3 times. I have been in my current company for 2.4 years already
Is it true that marrying a local will have a higher chance? I have a local chinese boyfriend and planning to get married soon. If so, is it advisable to get married first before I apply PR?
Thank you so much to anyone who could help me.

Maybe but her race works against her now (Flips are now in the "other" pool unless - and this is rumor - they are Muslim from the south and then they may claim Malay if they speak Melayu).DreamDream wrote: ↑Mon, 18 Jan 2021 10:55 pmGet married and bless with baby to apply for PR under SC sponsor after 3y of marriage.eropagnis wrote:hi! can anyone help me to evaluate my chances of getting PR. I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

@DreamDream and @PNGMK
Thank you for your response. Does that mean if I apply now as a single will most likely be rejected?
I just heard from others that Early childhood sector is in demand in singapore, does that count?

Re: PR approval chance in 2020
Single will not be the main reason for rejection.
Ethnicity and salary may play a big factor in your case. Try improving on your salary, stay longer and then apply.
Don't get married just to get PR. it is not right.

@singaporeflyer, Yes I completely agree.singaporeflyer wrote:Single will not be the main reason for rejection.

Our recommendation are for those who love sg and would like to sink roots here.
With current pay scale, PR chances are very slim.

@singaporeflyer @DreamDream
Thank you for your help. I do agree too. that’s why if I have a chance to get PR while I’m still single, I would like to grab it. Rather that marrying.
In comparison, i believe my salary is quite high already in my industry. I get 3.4k a month while other Childcare teachers get 2.6-3k. Unless i get promoted then only i can get a salary 4k and above. Which is very difficult in my sector.
I hope you can still entertain me. Haha! Thanks a lot!
Ps: I’ve been reading this thread and I can only see IT, Engineer, Finance applying. I’ve never seen a preschool teacher. Haha!

You got higher chance. Grab it....sanji_hao wrote:Hi everyone! Fyi I plan to apply for PR after the tax assessment this year. I have been working in Singapore for more than one year and would like to try my chances. Unfortunately I do not have any family tie here. I also understand that this year is election year so the outcome can be quite uncertain. Some details:
Age : 27
Race : Malaysian Chinese
Gender : Male
Marital Status : Single
Religion : Buddhist
Education : Master
Current Field of Work : Investment
Length of stay : 1 year 2 months
No of tax return : Because I only work for 1 month + in 2018 so I wasn't taxed in 2019, but I do filed for tax return at that time.
Salary : Basic 60k+ ; Gross 90k+ with bonus
Pass : EP
I am quite new to this forum, would be really grateful for any help or guidance

My kid is born in Indiasingaporeflyer wrote: ↑Fri, 15 Jan 2021 5:06 pmPR means permanent residence right? So,SG can expect the OP to be permanently here for everything?simple_guy wrote: ↑Fri, 15 Jan 2021 3:07 pmNot sure how kid's birth place matters? There may be valid reason to plan the delivery in home country!
If you take that there may be a valid reason for everything, then SG may be feel that the OP may have a valid reason to move out after PR has been given? Just my view.
