Chance me? Just recently submitted

Age: early 30s
Gender: M
Marital: Single
Nationality: Indonesian
Ethnicity: Chinese
Diplomas: MBA (top 3 US), went to local high school (sec sch+JC) here under SG govt scholarship way back if that matters
Industry: Tech investing (private equity)
Salary: 700k
Years in SG: 4.5 years (filed taxes 4 times), 8.5 if including time spent before
Wait. Time spent before does not count. Is your full work experience in SG or did you work elsewhere? If you worked somewhere and then came back to SG, your chance may not be so high. else it will be high.
I’d actually think he has a high chance.
Fact is, the govt has invested in him before via scholarships.
2ndly he is Chinese from SEAsia.
Anecdotally, Indonesian Chinese are next in line after Malaysians.

For clarity - ethnic group is Caucasian? Sorry it looks like we are splitting hairs, but the distinction is important for PR purposes.

Ethnicity and Nationality are two different things as noted by mtnut. The clarification is needed because if all other things were equal and one was an ABC and the other a Caucasian, the ABC would likely win because the quota for 'ethnic' Chinese is higher than for 'caucasian or others'. (ABC = Australian Born Chinese). Additionally, assimilation into the local social fabric is easier for any of the 3 main races here.

Nothing "went wrong" per se.

Unfortunately you are caucasian which means you are in one of the lowest categories available. And you need to look at everything else with this lense.
In that category, you aren't just competing against other caucasians. You are firstly competing against caucausians who have married Singapore citizens. They will get priority over single caucasians, such as yourself (or caucasians married to each others). So every time you see a Singaporean married to a caucasian - that's your "competition".
Your length of stay is also against you. You have only been here a couple of years. While 2 years is considered a minimum, the longer you have been here (paying taxes) the better.
Your age will also be against you when you reapply. You will be 38 going on 39. Generally speaking the closer you get the 40, the more difficult it will be.

On the positive side, depending on what exactly you are doing in your role, assuming it's advanced manufacturing/research and development, this is something the gahmen is keen on.
Your salary is strong enough to support both you and another dependent.

I think your age is what will factor against you as you will likely need to wait a couple more tax years before you are successful (to prove you are putting down roots here). Damned if you wait, damned if you apply now.

Look. In your case, I would say, keep applying again. It's only S$100 for each application. Your salary is high enough to cope with S$100 every 9 months or so.
But don't be surprised if you keep getting rejected, at least for another year or two.

The only thing that will improve your odds is to marry a Singaporean
If you're that desperate!!! (and then you will still have to wait 2 years!!)

Better to submit by yourself. But chances seem very low

Thank you for replying.
One more question,
If I pursue my master's degree in a local university, is it gonna increase a significant chance of PR?

Unlikely ... first thing that helps is ethnicity.
Everything has to be seen through that lens.

And no, hiring an agent is no better than asking this forum. You might as well throw your money down the drain.

You salary is quite low so I would say your chances are quite low.

What industry are you in?

Hi, I'm new to this.
I would like to ask for some opinions of the chances of me getting a PR.

Nationality: Indonesia
Gender: Female
Age:21
Length of stay:18/19 years
Work Pass: S PASS
Salary:36K/Year
Highest Education: O level
Families tie: Step dad (Singaporean), Mum (SPR)

But there is no documents stating that he is my step dad other than my parents marriage certificate.
My dad did tried to apply PR for me with him being the sponsor, but it was rejected for a few times. Thus I am trying to apply PR again on my own.

Had all of my educations in Singapore, through kindergarten to secondary school. Have been working for 1 year 6 Months.

I do know my chances are extremely low but would like to seek for more opinions and advises.
Thank you in advance.

Work for 2 more years, try to see if you can move to E Pass and then apply. Chances will be better. What do you work as?
