Since everyone is trying here, no harm done I guess since I am trying to apply this year end.

Trying to apply for PR for my wife.

Myself:
Age: 30
Race: Chinese
Nationality: SG
Gender: Male
Marital Status: Married (2+ years)
Kids: nil
Education: Bachelors NUS
Working in Singapore: 3+ Years
Income tax Assessment: 3
Job: IT analyst
Annual Salary: 65k
Total Work Experience: 3 years

Wife:

Age: 28
Race: Chinese
Nationality: China
Gender: Female
Marital Status: Married (2+ years)
Kids: Nil
Education: Masters from Top uni in Korea
Length of stay/Working in Singapore: 2+ Years
Income tax Assessment: 1
Job: Looking for research related roles.
Total Work Experience: Nil
Current Pass: LTVP

Wonder what are the chances for the PR to succeed and if it's too early to apply?

Appreciate all the assistance!
Any ideas? Thanks!

Try applying, but salary looks on the lower side and also short work history in SG

I'm going to tell it like it is, so pardon me, and please don't get offended. You have a situation that has caused a lot of grief for a fair number of local in the past is it is something worth thinking about. Now.....

There has been lots of press over the years about "China" brides here in Singapore marrying locals long enough to get their PR and subsequently vanishing after getting ahold of CPF (not easy to do anymore) but still looking to gain a foothold in Singapore and marriage to a local Chinese is the easiest way. Now, I know this isn't the case here as your spouse had an excellent education but the bothersome point is the fact that you have been married over 2 years with no offspring as of yet. The biodata you list for her seems to be inconsistent as you say length of stay/working in Singapore 2+ years and only 1 tax assessment. Then you say her total work experience is Nil. Which is it? If she hasn't been working since you got married, I'm sure ICA will look at it with some suspicion as if she's not working and not having children...... well, I'm sure you see where this is going.

However, having said all that, give it a shot. basically all the right boxes are ticked except for kids and the anomaly I've already pointed out.

Hi All,

I applied for PR since July 2019, but still pending. I have received a letter from ICA on May 2020 informed me due to Covid19 the average processing time for each PR application will be longer. I would like to find out any chance of approval, based on your past experience.

Age : 32
Race : Chinese
Nationality: Malaysian
Gender : Female
Marital Status : Married (My husband is PR)
Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel & Tourism Management (Malaysia)
Job : Admin Executive in Hotel & Tourism Industry
Working Experience in Singapore : 10 years
Salary : 37K+ P/A
Pass: Employment Pass

And my Employment Pass is expiring on next year March. Due to the tightening of the work pass requirements, my HR was strongly encourage me to apply for LTVP since my husband is PR. Should I proceed to renew my Employment Pass while I’m waiting for my PR approval or apply for LTVP?

All advise are welcome and appreciated very much
Hi Jacie, Congratulations . It is indeed worth the wait.

Hey SMS,

No harm no foul! I prefer things to be said outright as that is typically how immigration works. Cold and very little compassion. Basically we are swearing off kids through our own accord and yes indeed my wife is currently unemployed and looking for a job (took a short break after her education).

We will definitely give it a go by the end of the year!

Good luck. At least you are going into it with your eyes wide open. But remember, The Chinese demographic in Singapore has the lowest TFR of all the races here. Too many are swearing off having children but buying toy dogs instead and then wondering why the gahment has to keep hiring foreign talent. Again, good luck and let us know how it goes. Hi guys,

I am Vietnamese. I have read many comments and realized that I have very low chances to get PR because of my nationality. However, in terms of my ethnicity, my great-grandpa and my great-grandma were Chinese. Will it boost my application? Is it a stretch to you guys?
Mentioning your great-grandparents will be a huge stretch. I wouldn’t even bother mentioning if I were you.

Does the disappearing of the "Submit Button" usually always indicate positive-approval? Or could be negative as well?

If you really want to know, based on what has been said in the forum threads, the number of people for whom it disppeared and the result was negative is greater than those for whom it disappeared and result was positive.

But note many come to the forums when they are rejected and to see what can be improved further. So, you can't base on this statistics to predict your outcome.
