Not necessarily, stay positive!
Thank you! I will update the result.
Updated: our PR got rejected today.
That’s a pity, will you be applying again in a couple years?

True, but some people are getting an outcome within 4-5 months these days.

Yes, but those are only a small group. On the flip side, we see some waiting even longer than 2 years.

Hi,

I have been following this forum for a while and would like to seek everyone's thoughts about probability of getting our PR for 2021-2022.

Husband:
Age: 34
Workpass: EP
Duration in SG: 5 years
Nationality: Indian
Education: Master in Computer Science (India)
Position: IT (software engineering lead)
Annual salary: 130k basic, 155k incl bonus

Wife:
Age: 28
Workpass: Spass
Duration in SG: 6 years
Nationality: Vietnamese
Education: Bachelor in accounting (in VN), then completed ACCA in SG
Position: Senior Accountant
Annual salary: 60k basic, 90k incl bonus.

We dont have children yet.

May I know what are my chances? Thanks in advance!
Chance will be little low.
Update: we have applied by May’2021 and today the button “upload documents” disappeared. Also I can make new application as well. Guess it means we will have rejection soon.
How did you make assumption that outcome would be rejection, by just knowing that you could make a new application after upload button disappeared? Have you seen opposite cases where people were not able to make new application after disappearance of upload button and their PR got approved?

Hi, yes we will try again with our baby boy. Do you think it will be higher chance for us? We are trying to have promotion and better salary also.

I can read Chinese so I read in some Chinese forums said once the button disappears, if you can make new application then “likely” you are rejected. It is pure speculation though. So I just “guessed”. 😀

It might also mean you can make application for your family members, no?

I did not aware of that tbh. It was our first application and we didnt have kid by then so when I saw button disappeared so early (around 5.5 months), I thought it might rejection.

Looking at his profile, I believe rejection is a more likely outcome.

If your boy will be serving NS, then it will definitely increase your chances. Higher salary may not do as much unless it is very significant, but will always be favorable.

Not necessarily. Try to take it at face value. The button can reappear later, but if it doesn’t it may not mean a rejection, could simply mean that they have all the information they need.

In this case, that is highly possible. If the profile is unpromising, then an early rejection makes sense.

Like you said, it’s an assumption, purely speculative. It’s hard to interpret the intentions of the ICA, the button could reappear later on, or it could never reappear again.
