Re: S Pass Rejected and Appeal 2020
I ask them yesterday to withdraw it and they told around 3pm it is already done. However, when I check EP online I still see my previous rejected application. Also, they told me it take sometime to withdraw eventhough they withdraw it already. It that really how it is? I pleaded with them and hope they understand my situation. I really want to join my first company but since my pass take too long and that company even cannot assure I will have a slot when I got my pass approved, I decided to look for new opportunity. Now, this new offer is urgently needing people, I am afraid they take bake their offer if withdrawal of my pending application takes a week.
Any advice on what should I do? I am not the one who choose this agency though, the previous hiring company refer me to this agency. That is why, when I cancel my application I first approached the first employer rather than the agency.

This is not what you want to hear......
How long? How long is a piece of string? We don't work for the MOM or ICA or IRAS. We can only estimate based on anecdotal evidence from our multitudes of readers over the years. I know that it takes a minimum of 6 weeks for an appeal to be seen. You have a bigger problem than just waiting for the withdrawal to be posted/logged in. It is a weekend and are all working shorthanded due to the COVID-19 virus thingy so you are going to just have to be patient. Your problem is you don't really know why you were rejected in the first place, so you put all your eggs in one basket and for all you know, your application by the new company may also be rejected. It is often said a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. However, without knowing the actual reason for the rejection....... Check the minimum criteria to have an S pass. The criteria has been changed a couple time over the past 4 or 5 years making the basic credentials a little bit stiffer or the salary minimums a little higher, or the salary vrs years experience too low. This is why most people in an uncertain economy tend to stay put where they are until better times. With an international trade war going on......... you are just going to have to wait. MOM works at their own pace.

How long is a piece of string? one day. two days, a week? anybody's guess. Guaranteed if withdrawal was made 3pm on a Friday, probably won't even be seen until Monday. So maybe by Tuesday if you are lucky. But if the other application is still in, it tends to cause the machinery to jam. Then it may take a while.

I see. So maybe 2 or 3 days? Thank you then.
Also, is there any withdrawal receipt that the agent can show me proving that they really withdraw it? It is not that I dont trust them but Im afraid they dont withdraw it coz they lost a potential candidate. But I do explain them my situation and I pleaded. I just hope they are not mad at me.

That's always a chance you take when playing out an employer.

Re: S Pass Rejected and Appeal 2020
Hi, do you have any idea how will I know if they already withdraw it? They told me it is already withdrawn and can proceed to apply from the otherside. But when i check EP online it is still there saying rejected. So that means it is not yet withdrawn?

Re: S Pass Rejected and Appeal 2020
I dont remember showing it as withdrawn. Looks you are rushing. Why dont you speak to your employer again and get an email confirmation that they have withdrawn?
Re: S Pass Rejected and Appeal 2020
Yes. I am rushing coz the other company is chasing me also. I dont have any choice but to chase them, they say it is already withdrawn but they are not able to show me the confirmation receipt. However, I call this new employer to check it for me, they say they will.
I thought if it is withdrawn, it should not appear in EP online anymore. I guess only.

Sorry to say, when you do it like this to employers, employers also do it back to employees.Aibel wrote: ↑Mon, 17 Feb 2020 11:33 amYes. I am rushing coz the other company is chasing me also. Re: S Pass Rejected and Appeal 2020
Yes. But I have a reason to do it, they are agent chosen by the employer. For me, there is no issue to wait, but the hiring company cannot assure me that they will still get me by the time my pass is approved because they started to hire my last November and upto now my pass was not approved yet. When the first hiring comoany cannot assure me that they can wait for me, then I started looking for another opportunity. But, I guess the agent is not that understanding. But, I am not the one who choose that agent. They were chosen by the hiring employer.
Re: S Pass Rejected and Appeal 2020
Hi, do you know what proof can this agent show me for the withdrawal of my spass application? Such as the withdrawal receipt? Is there something like that?
Re: S Pass Rejected and Appeal 2020
Hi does rejected spass application need to be withdrawn before other company can apply? Appeal result also rejected. So does it need to be withdrawn before other else can apply? Or not?

Re: S Pass Rejected and Appeal 2020
After the appeal has been rejected, a new company can file a new S Pass application
