UK Crematorium does not publish list of cremations

Post by martincymru » Wed, 29 Jan 2020 4:40 pm

Question
"can I see your list of cremations for year 2019?"

Reply
"No; Data Protection Act"

Are they correct?

Probably correct, but cannot confirm.

In the US it surely would not be allowed but apparently the Demoncrats have found a way to do it as these dead people keep registering as Demoncrates for voting in upcoming elections.

You could ask your local MP for assistance. In Australia the Data Privacy Act is used for all sorts of stupid reasons but 99% of the time bureaucratic laziness.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

For the record, they would not even let me "view" the 2019 list of cremations.

Some of us have been away a long time from our home town and would like to see who has died recently in case they were known to us from the distant past.
