SPR Rejected
Hi,
We are both are self-employed and the company revenue is over 200k per year. Founded in 2010.
We are drawing the 40k each salary from company.
Have been living here since 2006. We both are early 40s.
Wife is degree holder from Taiwan and myself is the diploma holder from here.
Nationality is Myanmar and race is Chinese.
We are SPR and our 2 sons are also SPR.
Recently, we have one more girl and applied SPR on 08/01/2019 and it is rejected today.
According to the rejected letter, the application is assessed based on economic contributions, education qualifications and integration with Singapore society and among other things.
Quite puzzled what to do next.
Wait for 1 year and then reapply stands the better chance?
Can anyone help to advise?
Thanks

When did you get your PR? When did your other 2 sons get PR?
Both of you are from Myanmar?
Where was your kid born?

40k is salary per year, each.
we both got PR in 2008, my two sons got PR in 2017.
Yes, we are all Myanmar.
All the kids born in SG.

I'm surprised to be honest. Are both of you Chinese by nationality?
Not sure if it's the norm but when my daughter:s pr was rejected she only had s one liner. But yours had a paragraph. Perhaps that means something. I'm not sure tbh

Very likely salary is on the lower side to support a family of 5? That MAY be the reason.henryaclwin wrote: ↑Sun, 02 Feb 2020 2:58 pm40k is salary per year, each.

Re: SPR Rejected
Pretty much spot on I think. If one should find themselves out of work, 40K won't go far with a family of 5. Especially all young children. I'm pretty sure the gov't sees it the same. After all, ICA required an income of 4.5/mo just for sponsorship today for PR. Was a lot less in 2008 and the salary increases don't seem commensurate with 12 years of PR. Sons would have gotten PR because of the NS, I think, but there are not extenuating circumstances in the girls case so I would agree with SF on this.singaporeflyer wrote: ↑Sun, 02 Feb 2020 4:01 pmVery likely salary is on the lower side to support a family of 5? Re: SPR Rejected
Thanks for that. After all, we are running our own company for more than 10 years here.
Salary is one reason, but we applied the same profile for our 2 sons 3 years back and approved.
One of the other reason could be the duration, my girl was born in Oct 2018 and applied PR in Jan 2019. It had been pending for 1 year and changed status to rejected last week of Jan 2020.
Does the 2 years staying here is applicable for pr application?

Re: SPR Rejected
I had a similar situation yrs ago. I was a pr my wife was not. Had a baby girl. Applied pr for her . Rejected.
Then I applied for my girl and myself Singapore citizenship. Both approved. After that my wife 's pr approved.
Maybe. Just maybe. The gov is hinting that it's abt time you become one of us?

Re: SPR Rejected
why didnt you apply immediately after the baby was born? I have heard of something if you apply within 40 days of the kid being born in Singapore, the chance/route is very highhenryaclwin wrote: ↑Sun, 02 Feb 2020 4:51 pmThanks for that.
