I didn't make any mistake but you are making one that is going to cost you a time out like a two year old. I'm deliberately allow you posts to stay up long enough so everybody knows what a douche you are. If you had enough sense, you would have noticed the timelines and wouldn't have stuck your foot in you mouth and there isn't any way left for you to extract it. What mistake do you claim I made (aside for need need that is).

It's ok, damage is done. I don't think anyone will contribute much if dissenting opinions are freely deleted.

I was asked for my opinion, I gave it, you called me an idiot for my opinion, it turned out that my opinion was corroborated by the actions of at least 2 governments, yet instead of admitting I was correct, let alone apologize, you continue to dish out insults and delete my responses. Nice work, moderator.

You still don't get it do you, troll. Nobody called you an idiot, even if it might be true. I called you and will continue as long as you remain one, a troll. You act like a troll, sound like a troll. You can hardly make a post without an agitating remark. So I give it right back. Trolls reap what they sow. Whenever you make a logical, considered posts, I answer you in a logical considerate manner. But when your act like an arse, guess what. You started it this time in this thread with your asinine HK comments when I mentioned the news article about them torching the quarantine centre. You and your HK Protester friends is was got you into the trolls keep in the first place. Again.

Currently there are 6,061 confirmed cases of the virus in mainland China, including 132 deaths.

10 confirmed cases in Singapore, all imported from Wuhan. Looks like it will only get worse and we will have to keep on fighting for months.

Let's have peace here and stick to the topic.

Not in a densely populated urban area! There are many options in HK - country parks, outlying islands etc.
And your reply:

... Unless, in your feeble mind, you think they need to be put into leaper type colonies away from all human facilities and just left there to die. Seriously, dude, you really need need help.
You call this "logical and considerate"?

Anyway sorry Pal, I'll stop now.

We (Society of Petroleum Engineers) cancelled our monthly meeting for early Feb on the basis of "Do no harm". Zero meetings x whatever the infection probability is = Zero chance of infections.

Mortality rate is still holding steady at around 2.15%. Let's hope it doesn't spike later. SARS was 9.5%. The mortality rate for the common flu in the US is 1/10th of 1 percent (0.1 %). Sadly in the US they don't realize the are only looking at the deaths and not the mortality rate.

I've been reading some posts by epidemiologists - apparently it is quite hard to calculate these rates (Ro etc) early on. Also China is NOT reporting deaths by flu is someone has anther illness (i.e. heart disease) at the same time. But yes the mortality rate is probably lower than SARS I think.

Seriously, I don't bother much about this virus. Daily so many things happen etc. Just that virus outbreak always will create worldwide attention if many people around the world inflected. Sometimes is irony, whereas come war we create deadly virus etc chemical warfare.

Coinspriacy theories? etc well sometimes come world issues is very complicate and complex behind.

to me , virus will end, just matter of time. Now everyone just try to stop it from spreading and waiting for the vaccine. Look back history, how many virus , etc man kind have encounter and come to the end and life still go on.

The Government , all around the world as usual just let time deal with it.
