Coronavirus in Singapore (COVID 19)

Post by Pal » Sun, 26 Jan 2020 12:08 am

Already 3 confirmed cases all from Wuhan and many suspected cases.

This virus is spreading so fast due to Chinese News Year.

Should we block all visitors from Wuhan?

I had a quick glance and all I see is the same twitter & reddit BS. You should go back, you do fit in better there. The only thought-provoking thing I saw there was "What the hell are they thinking." Don't let the door........"

No Trolls either. I see your dearest friends in HK torched the building to be used as a quarantine building for those suspected of having the Coronavirus. You I don't consider a member. Just a troll.

Yes, Hong Kong people should just meekly accept whatever the government does, like certain other Asian countries. Maybe instead of accepting thousands of potential virus-carrying mainlanders daily, they should stop them coming into HK in the first place. The proposed quarantine centre is right in the middle of homes and schools.

Where will you suggest to Hong Kong Government, best area to hold the quarantine centre?

Not in a densely populated urban area! There are many options in HK - country parks, outlying islands etc.

Guess where all the quarantine centres are in Singapore. The University dormitories. Students are being shifted so their dormitories can be used for quarantine facilities. It worked for Sars and Mers, and will work this time. They can't be put on prison island where medical access is not available or too far from top grade medical facilities. Unless, in your feeble mind, you think they need to be put into leaper type colonies away from all human facilities and just left there to die. Seriously, dude, you really need need help.

You need need some English lessons :)

But seriously, if there is a need for quarantine centrres to be proximate to hospitals, that's a fair point.

Australia is going to put the evacuated on Christmas Island. I suspect there may be an element of subtle racism there (most of the Evacuees are probably Chinese).

This in additional to the University Dormitories already mentioned in the Straits Times?
