There’s a good chance that you would not get any approval, under present circumstances. Simply because there’s too few quotas now, and too many better qualified Indians.

Secondly, it would be wise to start thinking of contingencies. The thing about PRs, is that it offers safety net up to the date it’s due for renewal. And renewal is contingent on staying employed. Being 46 is fine, but a few years down the road and things may get tricky due to the age/renewal. As sg inc likes to put it, middle aged folks past 40 are always at the risk of retrenchment.

A few years ago, an Indian ex colleague of mine was retrenched and the PR/reentry permit was up for renewal. ICA gave him a renewal of 1yr, conditional of securing a job by the next renewal.

if both of you increase your salaries, the chances will improve.
But if kids are not living and studying here for atleast 3-4 years, chance is very very low

Hi,

I'm planning on applying for the PR mid of this and I'd like to know my chances.

Country of Origin: India
Age: 27 and Single

Work experience: 5 years 7 months in Cyber security
4 years in a top tier consulting company (1year in Singapore)
13 months with a Tech Giant (In Singapore)
Currently working with a government company on EP

Worked in Singapore for exactly 2 years now and filed for tax returns twice.

Salary: 1,20,000 per year (inclusive of bonus)

Industry: Cyber security

Volunteering: I help a local animal rescue organisation and another group to distribute meals to seniors.

Education: I hold a bachelor's in Computer Science from India and also applied for a part time MS in NUS in the same field (positive that I'll be accepted)

I understand that my ethnicity is not in the upper hand here but just hoping if I even have the slightest chance.

Looking forward to the response!

Apply after 5 years of work in SG. If you finish MS in NUS is an additional bonus too.

Frankly, I'm surprised they haven't invited you to become one. You definitely tick all the boxes with the exception of race (but nothing negative, just a null factor) especially after being here for 10 years and a heavy dependency on local talent in your own company. I'd say you will be a shoe-in, truth be known.

Yeah, give or take a couple of months. We've seen both approvals & rejections take as long as 23 months. Hard to believe, but based on what I've seen just coming through here, I can understand why it sometime take that long. With some it pretty hard to separate the wheat from the chaff if you know what I mean. I doubt you will see the far side of 15 and probably more like 8~12. Good luck & keep us posted. What we know is what you guys give back to us. Good Luck (but I don't really think you will need luck). You are what this country is looking for.

Hi,

I'm thinking of applying for PR next year after my 3rd tax returns and I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts:

Nationality: Korean
Age: 25
Length of stay in Singapore: 6 years (7 when I apply)
Education: NUS (Bachelor's)
Work experience: Tech MNC, 2 years (3 when I apply)
Pass: EP
Salary: 75K (filed taxes twice, plan to wait til 3 times before I apply)

Thank you!

Hi Friends,

Anyone facing same problem ? Filling out E-PR System
(Educational and immigration details getting disorganised by itself )

Hi am currently filling out the E-PR Application and iv'e lived in singapore for over 10 years in at least 6 locations hence filling immigration details (Address lived in last 10 yrs more than 6 months). Even though i have been filling them up in chronological order the addresses are disorganising itself on E-PR system . i've tried to enter and save one by one but it is still not working

should i email ICA About this issue or is it ok to submit since i have already mentioned the MM/YY even though it is disorganised ?

anyhelp would be appreciated , thanks in advance
I have the same issue, can some one advise whether can proceed with this being unorganised?

Whatever browser you choose, All information that you have keyed in will be auto-arranged by the ePR system, it will not affect the submission.

Auto-arrange in the sense chronological or reverse chronoligcal? Becasue i get reverse chronologized except current working company. Can i just submit,
