It's been a while! Dropping in to say I just got my in principle SC approval today. It's been quite the journey, from two rejections, being laughed at here for being a blood donor, becoming a PR, buying a home, producing a very Singaporean baby boy and now finally approval.
Thanks everyone who helped me through my journey, and all the best to those still waiting for approvals of various things.

Congratulations and thanks for hanging in here all these years in spite of us. Sounds like all is starting to work the way it should. Looks like the Persistence, PR & Progrency Paid off.

Roughy 5 years from student to SC?
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or
http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

depends how you define student - I came here for sec 3 so it's been 15 years since my first student pass.
2005 > student pass (various; sec school, JC, uni)
2013 > EP
2017 > PR
2020 > SC IPA

Yeah that is a while. EP to SC in 7 years is pretty good. I think that the actual best achievable would be 5 years if the stars aligned (ignoring grace and favour applicants).

I'm happy with it either way - been here long enough for this to be home.
Although the fact that the SG Journey e learning can only be completed on internet explorer and doesn't work on
* apple computers
* tablets
* mobile phones
is giving me physical pain.

I think we should not be complaining. Shouldn't we be greatful for what we got? FYI, I completed mine on chrome and had no issues.

I think there's a difference between complaining (this sucks and I shall do nothing but point out that it sucks) and feedback with the intent to improve experiences (which I already sent through to PMO / NIC). Nothing wrong with improving if there's room too.
But thanks for the tip re: chrome! As of chrome 76 flash is blocked by default so I'll need to re-enable this, but still doubt it'll work on a mac, which is all we have at home. Going to use my wife's work laptop since that's the only windows device which I have convenient access to.

I used Firefox in my case and after allowing Flash to run via Firefox permissions, I'm good to go. You could try that as well.
