Translation needed

Post by hellohellomum » Mon, 06 Jan 2020 11:53 am

Hey guys, would you mind helping me to translate this in English...

I've got a gift of chocolate and its box has a date of October of last year and there are russian words on top.. is this the expiry date or could it mean something else?

Thanks!

Go to google translate and select Russian as the language to translate. In the bottom center of the translation screen there is a little drop down arrow that will let you select a Russian keyboard you can then type in the characters you see. If you have google translate on your phone you can also select the camera option to translate by pointing the camera at the text. That is a bit hit and miss and can have difficulty picking text out from the background in your image. In any case it translates as Shelf Life 10 Months, so I suspect the date is the packing date rather than the expiry, but you'd need to check with someone who knows how Russian food labeling works.

The wording means: 1st line: expiration date, and 2nd line: 10 months.
So my guess is, that the box printed date is the manufacturing date from which the 10 months runs.

Thank you guys!

Sounds Iogic! Expiry should be 10months from this date of manufacturing😇💪
