As SF mentioned, this behavior is wrong. However, it's a sad reality that that in India, you have castes to create hierarchies and in other countries, race is used in a similar way. Anyway, my observation is that this kind of more extreme undesirable behavior is what people use to justify and cement existing prejudices. Some of those prejudices may exist due to more bad behavior from some but also due to xenophobia.

^^^^This also. You have probably heard the term 'True Blues', Xenophobia in it's worst form. The sad part all here were immigrants at some point in time with the exception of the Malays. This is their homeland.

I have heard that term. The cut off date after which people ceased to be true blues was seconds after the said true blue's ah gong and ah ma hopped off the boat with no passport or visa :)
