Will frequent business trips affect one's PR approval rate?

Post by deals68 » Mon, 30 Dec 2019 12:12 am

I am an IT consultant on EP working for a giant tech MNC, managing customers across APAC. I have been living in Singapore (single) for 2.5 years, but I usually spend around 2-3 days/WEEK (during weekdays) overseas for client meetings, which are inevitable due to the nature of my job.

I am almost always on the road during weekdays, but I always go back to Singapore since I "call" Singapore home now. I am also fully employed at the MNC's Singaporean entity, which happens to be the hub for its APAC operations.

I applied PR 2 months ago after living in Singapore for about 2 years and 4 months. I have done 2 NOAs so far.

I know approval rate varies depending on each applicant's profile. My question is, will frequent business trips overseas affect one's PR application in general?
I know that physical residency matters to show ties to the country, but is there a way to show to ICA that my frequent travels are actually for business trips?

I traveled near 50% when I obtained PR 4 years ago.

As Long as you are gainfully employed by a Singapore registered business, not an issue.
