Any nice hotels or restaurants to recommend?

I believe most of the top hotel restaurants (Fullerton, Mandarin Oriental, Shangrila, Ritz-Carlton, Hyatt etc. have Christmas brunches with free flow of champagne, wine, soft drinks. These are IMHO very nice places with good buffets - although so far I only attended standard, Sunday brunches. The problem is they are very heavy on your pocket and I would not be surprised if it was already too late for many of them to get the table. Personally I like the Town, the Melt, Mezza9, but expect to pay around ++$250 for such Christmas brunch. If you mostly into European (i.e. German) food I would check Paulaner Bräuhaus - food is good, they have wine, champagne and beer (obviously) option and they should be significantly cheaper.

They would also have to factor in Air Fares which are exorbitant this time of year as they would be apparently flying from New York based on their IP address.
