Work pass approval - what next?

Post by claire93 » Mon, 02 Dec 2019 5:59 pm

Hi

I am British and currently in Singapore, I have just been granted an employment pass and my employer has sent me the IPA approval letter and told me my start date (jan 2020)

Reading the letter it seems like there are more stages for them to complete including asking for the ep pass to be issued.

I can see I need to have a medical exam done, is this something the employee pays for or usually reimbursed? I saw online to have this done within 2 weeks of arriving but I have been here for over a month now so do I need to leave and come back?

Does anyone know the next stages for the employer so I can go back to them with some queries?

I have also signed a letter of offer which included details of salary and holiday etc, is this counted as the employment contract? As it is much shorter than ones I have signed in the Uk before.

Thanks
