Before I came over here, I rang every bank in singapore to ask about transfering money between different currencies, because company here pay me in SG only. Even international bank has branches everywhere, but they still charge application fee plus commission ( charge % of the amount you transfer) every time you remit money. In another world, as long as it is in different currency, to different countries, they will charge you application fee plus commission, even you transfer money from internet directly, which I was told, which is happened to me a couple of times.
Unless your new company has local office in Germany, they will put you as employee in Germany, and they will pay you from there, not from singpaore while you working in singapore.

Bank
Hi people,
I made an account this morning at the Citybank. Now I will get money in Singapore at the Citybank without paying a fee. For the local payments like the rent and my wages from the company, I will set up an local account at the citybank.
Thank you for all your help.
@NBB: Nice Game, but Germany was better. What do you think ?

Re: New Question
Hi Patrick,
I also work for Siemens. Don't worry, there are tons of Germans at Siemens here. In August I will have four German students in my department alone (they stay for 3 months). Come to 11th floor.
For employment pass and everything, Sandy organizes it for you. Also apartment.
For Internet, I went with Starhub. It works fine and costs about 70 S$ per months which is about 35 Euro.
And among us (without any Singaporeans listening) they work less here compared to Siemens Germany. The flexible time allows that you start in the morning as late as 9.30 h ... imagine that in Germany.
See you, Martina (which is my real name, ask Steffen or Santosh)

I hope to see you soon
I will contact you, when I am in Singapore, if that`s OK for you ?

Patrick
